Egyptian tennis table star El-Sayed Lashine

Egypt's El-Sayed Lashine has earned his place in the second round of the Olympic men's table tennis singles after beating Sweden's Par Gerell 4-3 at the 2012 London Games on Saturday.
Lashine overcame Gerell in the first round, beating the Swedish player 4-3 (7-11, 11-4, 11-8, 12-10, 8-11, 8-11,11-9).
Egypt's 32-year-old table tennis star will face Croatia's Zoran Primorac in the second round on Sunday.
Fellow Egyptian Omar Assar also reached the second round of the tournament after beating Yaroslav Zhmudenko of Ukraine 4-1 (8-11, 11-6, 13-11, 11-9, 12-14 ) in the first round on Saturday. He will face Greece's Panagiotis Gionis in the second round on Sunday.
