altShaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, has hailed the goals of Zayed House for Islamic Culture (ZHIC), the
Islamic cultural organisation, in spreading the message and
teachings of Islam and social education.
This came on Tuesday evening during the official opening of ZHIC branch office in Abu Dhabi by Shaikh Abdullah in the presence of Dr Mohammed Matar Salem Al Kaabi, ZHIC’s Chairman, Dr Nidal Al Tunaiji, ZHIC’s Director-General, Ahmed Shabib Al Dhahiri, Director-General of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and Dr Mohammed Atiq Al Falahi, Secretary General of the UAE Red Crescent Authority along with a number of officials.
Following the opening ceremony, Shaikh Abdullah and the audience listened to a presentation on ZHIC and its goals.
The Zayed House for Islamic Culture was founded by decree No. 10 of 2005, issued by the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.  ZHIC pays great attention to the rightly guided (new Muslims), providing them with maximum care, enlightening them with Islamic culture, as well as trying to absorb them in the Muslim society, and also to inform non-Muslims about the essence of Islam, its spirit of forgiveness, its core value and what it stands for; far away from any bigotry or any religious enthusiasm.
Moreover, Dr Al Kaabi presented a detailed explanation on the objectives of the house and its activities.  He expressed gratitude and appreciation to Shaikh Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Gen Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
